you can't use custom avatars , you have a choice between the free ones in the account management/avatars section of the ps3 menu or the 'premium' avatars available in the playstation store - so far there are little big planet a mag avatars available for purchase ( 25¢ each - cheaper by the pack )
people have been requesting custom avatars for 3 years so it doesn't look like that will happen )

anyways the purpose of those set avatars is because they dont want people to just make their avatar something offensive or anything (! boobies??? QUICK, EYEMUFF THE KIDS!!!!)
so yeah, no customs...but they are selling some special avatars (imo they still suck tho)
i just stuck with the japanese word with the red thingy around it.....why couldnt they throw in a chinese symbol? damn japs!
