How to save PS3 Game saves to my external HD and use it on another PS3?I am selling my PS3 and am gonna buy another one. I want to backup my PS3 Game saves to my external HD which is formatted to Fat32. I then want to reconnect that same HD to my new PS3. Will i be able to load the game saves on that new PS3? Please Help!

No that's the wrong way so here is how you do it, first don`t sell slash give your old ps3 keep it until you buy the new. Then when you buy your new ps3 do the data transfer utility which will take everything on your old ps3 and to your new ps3.
Just so you know games that contains trophies are a no no to copy but however game that don`t are okay.

There are two options, you can use the data backup utility in the Settings menu. This will copy all data on your PS3 and seems to take an absolute age to complete. The second option is to go to the "Saved Data utility (PS3)" on the main game menu and copy the files individually and manually, this may be fiddly but shouldn't take as long.
Please be aware that there are a few games out there that lock their game saves, this means that you won't be able to copy them to another console no matter what method you try.
Also, remember to login to PSN and synchronise your trophies before you format the hard drive on the old one, otherwise you might lose them.
