How will Sony handle the dying 3rd party PS3 support ?It's no secret that 3rd party PS3 support has been declining and since it is, what can Sony do to combat this and to ensure the PS3 doesn't become the next N64 !

now ps3 has 3rd party support sure they lost 2 or 3 big ones but ps3 will bring out the big exclusives sonner rather than later and their 1st party support in my opinion is the best out

Sony is being lazy and they are taking no action. Personally I think PS3 should have ALL Japanese RPGs as exclusives (maybe just the good ones like FF). There is a past PlayStation exclusive that is now a 360 exclusive. If they let White Knight slip I'd be furious, because it's being made by the Dragon Quest creators and they are my favorite. 360s suck with RPGs/Fighting games (sit down fanboys).
I don't care about any other exclusives but a Japanese console deserves Japanese games! grrrrrrr...>.<
I heard they are trying to come back, though. Something about making more and more exclusives. Or maybe exclusive 3rd party designers should stay committed.

last i checked sony was geting the same 3rd party games that 360 was. save maybe red alert.
ghost busters, fallout 3, brutal legend, far cry 2, prototype, resident evil 5, dead space just released for it. and one time 360 exclusives like bioshock are now making their way to sony. so if i were you id keep away from the rumor mill, and look at the titles themselves.
not to mention sequels to hit games like overlord and bioshock.
if you wrote this becuase of final fantasy going to the 360, PS3 still has an exclusive in FF 13 versus, which is probably a big reason why square let that one go.
i dont think sony is worried at all about thier line-up. and nither am i.

The first mistake Sony made in their PS3 strategy was in the pricing ! You do not market a game console at $ 400-$ 600 ! The average gamer who bought the PS2 is not going to fork over that kind of money to play a game machine when they can get a cheaper and arguably better experience on the Wii or 360 for hundreds less. The 3rd party games are what makes consoles sell and since Sony hasn't aligned themselves with the type pf support they had on the PS1 and 2, they've basically shot themselves in the foot.
To boot, Sony refuses to correct their marketing blunders ! People want BC and they have did away with that. People want an affordable PS3 and they keep shoving bundles to market at $ 499 a pop.
With our economy in rough shape, I don't see the PS3 selling many units this holiday season.
