Yes it is ture, It has a web browser, Although it is hard to use and not very attractive looking. If your looking for this to be a selling point dont count on it. You cant do some PC things on it.

just connect a keyboard/mouse to the usb ports and you can go online using the included browser.
you can do PC things on it if you install linux

This is true! i alternate checking my email from my PSP and my PS3. Luckily, there are USB ports for the PS3.... so u can plug in a mouse and keyboard.
