I read that you can watch Hulu on the PS3. Is there an application for download?Or did the article just mean you can use the PS3's web browser? I haven't had a lot of luck with the web browser, it works but not well.

Just through the web browser, that's right. It's not even news anymore. Hulu became compatible with ps3 before it got flash 9 compatibility. So for a while only Hulu and Youtube would work, out of the popular sites. Now anything with flash 9 works.
And no it doesn't work well, there's nothing anyone can do about that. The ps3 has an obsolete mini-browser, netscape 5.0, and it can't do much. The ps3 only has 256mb of system RAM. You may have noticed that it has more trouble navigatine the menus of Hulu than actually watching the video, that's cause it's got another 256mb of video ram for that. If only the video ram could help out the system ram. Actually that should be possible because there's a high-bandwidth interface between the two.
I get better performance from Hulu by switching to fullscreen. Also I think Hulu is a bandwidth-storm site. It won't work well if your download speed isn't at least several megabits. Thanks to all the new lines with 7mb speeds, sites are adding features all over the place leaving the 1mbit crowd behind. Drive ya nuts.
I did manage to watch the recast of the stanley cup game 2, which I couldn't catch on tv.
