Valkyria Chronicles Gameplay - HD Test
Test recording of combat footage of my favorite characters from Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3, done by the Hauppauge HD PVR recorder at max settings. This video shows off my favorite character Catherine (Irish Sniper, love her victory pose), Dallas with activating of her hilarious personal 'potential', Alicia and her victory pose (cute! XD) and finally Lynn with hers (my favorite assault trooper).

Valkyria Chronicles (PS3) - Chapter 7 in 20 minutes! Rank A strategy
I was able to fit all this battle in one single youtube video. I'm pretty happy about that considering I died like half a dozen times before I was able to actually beat it for the first time and it took me over an hour when I finally did lol. I had to fast forward the enemy phases in order to fit it under 10 minutes but I think you can still see pretty well what's going during this time. I'vedecided to try and take on the project of exploring the possibly of speed running this game. Basically, beating each of these levels as efficiently as possible without power-leveling. That means not only beating each level in under the amount turns required to get "Rank A" but also trying to optimize each action and ultimately achieving the most efficient strategy possible. I'm always looking to improve myself so if you have any tips and tricks leave a comment, video response or whatever. Here's a quick resume of this battle: Turn 1: Take out the enemy infantry with sniper and scout. Get the same scout to safety on the far bottom. Use Lancer to take down the first two standing remnants of ruins. Turn 2: No action needed. Turn 3: No action needed. Turn 4: Use a scout hidden behind the wall to hop onto the port side of the Batomys (Boss Tank) and throw a grenade into that radiators. Turn 5: No Action needed. Turn 6: Use a scout hidden behind your tank to hop onto the rear of the Batomys and throw a grenade into that radiators. Turn 7: No action needed. Turn 8: no action needed. Turn 9 ...

i have a question about valkyria chronicles for the ps3?would valkyria chronicles for the ps3 be a good game to get for someone that is a die hard final fantasy fan. explain why.

Download the Demo off the Playstation Store and compare the game to Final Fantasy games. The gameplay for Valkyria is more strategy and less story. Although i found it fun (and im a die hard FinalFantasy fan) Most gamers now days are a bit picky. Ether way if its a gift he cant complain.

I'm a big final fantasy fan,and I love valkria.so I think it would be a great game to get for someone to play while they wait for final fantasy 13 to come out.
as to why?well ,for one thing it's an rpg game,it has great graphics,and good music (not as good as ff music,but honesty what is?)and a really good story.so it's similar in a lot of ways.
