what video connection for the ps3 does gamespot use for their reviews?i see reviews on gamespot for ps3 and their graphics are by far better than my ps3's graphics on hdmi. do they use av, or component?

I use a device called Dazzle USB Video Capture Card that is pretty good and in your case should work. Its not HD but that not really that important. So what you do is connect the video and audio cable of your ps3 to that and the capture card gets connected to your computer, yes it cross platformed. And you will get the application for your computer and the rest should be easy.
