has there been any preformace reviews on the PS3 slim?even if you own one telling me how long you had it and how its been working will help too
i already have a fat boy but might get a slim for loading and installing reasons

PS3's are quite reliable.
But, to say how long each one will last is entirely up to how long you play it and how well you take care of it.
I have had my PS3 40GB coming up on 2 years now, because I got it Christmas of 2007. I still have the original controller, and my PS3 still works. I haven't had any problems with it. Plus, I have played it almost everyday, and I usually play it 2-3-4 hours at a time. Maybe even longer when I get a new game.

i've had one since release day and the old ps3 fat boy since 3 years ago and never had a problem with either one
(only bought second one 4 my brother)
the slim is a bit faster to get online but they both run pretty much the same which is great

dude, dont be cheap and buy one already, but not the slim. The ps3 is built with quality hardware and the system menu and XMB interface is decent. I have had mine for about a 1&1/2 years and it works flawlessly.
