How can I play PS2 games on a PS3 Slim?I have a PS3 slim. How can I play Ps2 games on it? I tried downloading something on the Playstation Store that supports PS2 backwards compatibility, but that didn't work. If PS3 slim doesn't play PS2 games, will it have a software update that will allow it to anytime soon?

You cannot play PS2 games on a slim since it was not built with the PS2 emulator software, downloading the PS2 system data from the PSN store was for the older PS3's not the new slim ones.

What you have downloaded is simply a joke bc the ps3 slim is programmed not to play ps2 games at all. But soon they will sell them of the ps store that way you pay for something that you have already paid for, I know but its a corporation and money is what they are there for.

i dont think you can because the ps3 slim was built with the thought that most people would of replaced old ps2 games and so they removed the software which was necessary to do so.
