But this morning when i switched it back to its regular yellow, white, red cables
Nothing would show up??? The play station would turn on but th video and audio

Your PS3 is set to a higher resolution than what the Red White and Yellow cables support. Ask whether you can borrow a HDMI cable again, change the resolution in the settings back to 480p and then connect your Red, White and Yellow cables again.

Okay, I think the ps3's settings is still on the HDMI, you can reset the thing and that should go back to its original settings, or you can use the HDMI and change settings with that then connect the regular cables.
