PS3 Oblivion Prison Break?I just got this game, and I'm stuck in the beginning when I am left in prison to find my own way out. How do I do it? I have been everywhere and can't figure it out, can anyone help?

Well if it's at all like the PC version of Oblivion, you have to wait for the Emperor and the guards to come along, and after they talk and go through the secret passageway (to the right), you can follow them through the opening in the wall.

The start of Oblivion is pretty much linear. It's pretty much the most narrative part of the whole game. It tells you what's going on, gives you the background and kickstarts you into the world. I'll try not to give you too many spoilers about the plotline. I'll just guide you through the dungeon.

When you finish creating your character, it will prompt you to move around. Move up to the cell gate and listen to the dark elf mock you across the hall. The guards will come down the stairs, the emperor will talk, then head off. Follow the guards and the emperor through the catacomb-like place, then assassins will jump out and fight.

The guards will fight them off pretty easily, but you can practice combat. They'll leave you behind. Rats will pop out from a nearly crumbled wall. Battle time. Go through the wall, pick up most of the loot. <- I believe this is where you are right now.

By now, you should pick out what your character's combat style is. They'll give you class choices later, depending on how you play, it'll measure how much of each type you use. The 3 categories are Stealth, Magic and Combat. Combat is essentially head-on fighting. Magic is all about spells. Then my personal favorite, Stealth, is all about sneaking around and assassinating from a distance or backstabbing. Archery falls under Stealth, by the way.

Follow the dungeon through, pick up any good loot. You have a weight limit, so you should pick up things carefully. And keep a close eye, there are hidden finds. There are jewels, coins, and treasure chests(most of which are locked, so you should practice in the skill of lockpicking, especially if you're going into Stealth). Eventually, you'll meet back up with the emperor, fight some assassins, then talk. The emperor will talk to you and tell you about your sign. Imagine the zodiac and you get powers associated with the star sign you pick. These spells can be cast only once per day, so use them wisely.

Follow the emperor and his guards through, and you'll run into room that has a locked gate, then you'll walk into a dead end room. You're about to begin your journey. The emperor will initiate a scripted talk with you and give you the quest item. Then the guard will come in and ask what class you are. Depending on how you play, it records your most used skills. So say you acted like a ninja and had Sneak toggled nearly all the time. Depending on your combat style, say you backstab. You'd more likely be a Rogue or Thief. If you used the bow and arrows, you'd probably be thought of as an Assassin. You don't have to follow what he says. You can fight like an Assassin and pick the class of Battlemage, though I wouldn't know why, it's a waste, you get bonuses to your major skills. But you can change it at the end of the intro anyway, or make your own custom class.

From here on out, it's just you and your weapon, fighting your way out. You'll go into the sewers, fight some rats and goblins again, then you'll reach the exit of the sewers. When you reach the end, it'll tell you if you want to edit your class, race or star sign. It's best if you pick a star sign that's more practical for your class, obviously. Like if I'm playing a Thief, I'd pick The Shadow for my star sign. I get 60 seconds of invisibility, so I can sneak past guards if I'm in trouble.

Anyway, from here, it's your choice on what you do. It's completely free roam, but you'll have to finish the quests eventually. The computer version is more fun to me, because you can use the developer's console to resurrect hostile NPCs and fight them over and over again.

Anyway, you can do the main questline, do the side quests, or join a guild. I'll tell you one that's of REALLY good use if you play a pilfering Thief. Join the Thieves Guild. I won't tell you how to join, it's really simple, just listen to conversations between you and some townsfolk carefully and learn to sweet talk a few certain someones into giving you secrets. It's always a good way to learn secrets by asking townsfolk. You can get new side quests, secret tips and such.
