PS3 online setup help?I'm at a friends house and were trying to setup his PS3's online so we can play online Little Big Planet. We go through the setup and once we test the connection, it says it failed to obtain IP. how can we solve this. BTW, it's a wireless setup.

If you know his network information, you might want to chose the "Advanced" set up for wireless. Manually type in the network name and password (if there is one) and see if that works. Also make sure you are choosing the network type.
Also, you MAY need to have your PS3 firmware updated. I occasionally cannot connect to a new wireless network unless I have the most up-to-date firmware. If your friend has a long Ethernet cord, try plugging it in and connecting to the internet that way temporarily and downloading the firmware update. (This may not be the problem, but I have run into trouble connecting to new networks and updating through LAN fixed it).
If you don't have a Ethernet cord, try downloading the update to a Flash drive and updating it that way.
If that doesn't work, try resetting his router and trying to connect again.

sounds like you didnt type in a password or if you did the password is wrong

Try unplugging your modem for 30secs then plug it back in. Then go to network settings and do the internet test again. It'll give you a new IP address for your PS3.
