Whats the best free program to convert videos for PS3 playback?I have a lot of blu-ray downloads that I need to convert so I can play them back on my PS3 via Vuse. I downloaded a converter called 'PS3 Video 9'. I was able to play the video, but it was really skippy for all of them. Is there something better out there?

This answer may be off track but there is this free application that lets you stream your media files from the computer through your network and into the ps3, eliminating the converting and transferring steps. Plus if the ps3 should get a YLOD your media will be safe in the computer, so you can sleep much better.

Just use PS3 Media Server, simple as that.
PMS connects from your PC to the PS3 and streams all data.
If you still want to convert use mkv2vob.
