ps3 wifi??i have the 40GB and set up all the required network connections internet is fine but sometimes it disconnects.. and btw im using a wifi and i should restart my system just to connect again.. it usually happens in after 2 hours.. so umm is this normal or should i call sony?

Well definitely not normal, but not sure if you need to call Sony just yet. How far is the wi-fi router from the PS3? Are there other wi-fi connections in your home? Do they frequently disconnect like the PS3? Keep in mind too there are several things that can interfere with wi-fi connections. Wi-fi can be interfered with such as a wireless phone, wireless dog collar, and strong electrical currents passing between the signal generator (router) and the signal receiver (PS3).
Just some things to check first. If none of these exist, then you may want to call Sony.

If your link remains up for 2 hours it isn't likely to be a hardware problem. It could be a weak signal or interference. Try changing the default channel on your router and see if that improves things.

I had trouble connecting my NDS to a Wifi USB Connector but it worked after a while. Have you tried a Wifi USB Connector, you can get one just for $ 20 off of ebay.
