What time will the PS3 alert me to update to new firmware 3.00?Hi i was just wondering you all know that the new ps3 update is coming out 1st september. However what i was wondering is what time can you actually update your ps3? Is it like as soon as it is 12.01 you can update?
Cos i usually go sleep like 2am so was just wondering if i shud turn ps3 on before i go bed to update?

the firmware will be release automatically in september 1st by the headquarters of the psn and its released by the computer not by the person pressing release so ... i think it should give it to u in september 1st and that means 12:00

That won't work. The PS3 will not alert you to update if your PS3 is already on when the firmware goes live (not that i've seen anyway). Only when you turn on the PS3 after it goes live will it force you to download. Just turn on your PS3 when you wake up and plan to do something else until it finishes.
