Where are we at with Linux on the PS3 slim?

Where are we at with Linux on the PS3 slim?How far has the community come on putting this together?
Will we ever see linux on the ps3 slim?;
I seen Geohot on youtube run linux w/3.21 on the fat;
is it possible for the slim?;

Slim version doesn't and will never have the option to install Linux.
