how do i do a data transfer on my ps3 3.15 update?can you give me a step by step guide to transfer all of my data from my regular ps3 to my ps3 slim help please!! its so confusing.

just copy every game save you want onto a flash drive just push triangle and copy after you plug flash into usb port

For game saves I will break it down.
1.Go to the folder game data it is above the remote (in the colum where the remote is for games).
2.Open that folder by pressing X.
3.Highlight the game save and press triangle.
4.It will give you options. Press copy.
For music go under the music colum and then do the same as you would do for the saved games. For music you can just copy the whole folder so highlight the folder by going on it and then press Triangle. You will see copy all or copy entire folder something to that effect. You can also do this with the saved game data if you have a lot.
Now its on the thumb drive or external hard drive. You will need a USB thumb drive or external hard drive to do this. Preferably the hard drive to save all music and photos.

what i did on mine is i have a 120gb external hard drive and then i went to settings on my ps3 and backed up all my data. then after that on the slim i also went to settings and i select restore backup using my external hard drive.
