what is the difference between the wep key to setup your ps3 online account and a wap key?i watched to different tutorials on how to setup your ps3 wireless connection and the one guy entered a wep key and the other a wap key so which one dodi use ? is it on the router?

WEP is an older wireless security variant. Quite broken indeed and WAP is safer depending on how it is set up.
You simply use the key of your wireless router.. in modems you get from your provider usually the key is somewhere in the documentation on mentioned on the router.
