will installing a new hdd in my ps3 fix the flashing red light error?i just turned on my ps3 and for some reason it doesnt work anymore, just turns on for a second, then beeps twice and the front light starts flashing red. Apparently its to do with overheating the hard drive, does anyone no if i buy a new hdd, will that fix the problem?

the thats the ylod, you need to send it to sony to fix it, and it won't do anything if you try and replace the hard drive. I believe it has something to do with overheating and some other parts

There is many things that can cause that problem, maybe there is something wrong with your hdd. But I would recommend not to change the drive while you have the warranty. That way if there is something wrong the warranty will cover it. But if this was happening to me I would check everything and maybe spot the problem but don't send it to repair because they will sometime ask for too much money and beside you could use that money to buy new one. So in other works if you have warranty then your safe if not then throw it and buy a new one.
PS: Check if there is dust on the fan because sometime it collects and you cant get good airflow both in and out.
