how do i open my ps3 hard drives files on my pc or laptop?I bought a wire to connect my ps3 hard drive to my computer but it doesn't let me access the files in the hard drives memory what should i do?

On the ps3 copy the files onto a flashdrive then put the flashdrive in your PC. Then go to "My computer" On your Pc and find the flash drive and the files should show on PC

You do know that the PS3 HDD is encrypted right? I do belief that there is some software that can aid you in finding the encryption/decryption key and that way opening up the ability to read the HDD's content. Even write to it [though you probably need to checksum it after that]
Hell not sure by what name I just heard it exist. If it is media like movies, savegames and the rest. usually you can easily copy that to a flash drive.. on Fat32 no need to decrypt that ;)
