is there a way to get the circling orbs you see in the ps2 background/menu on the ps3 background?i know the only moving background ive seen for the ps3 in the defualt one with the waves. is it also possible to have a moving picture like that as well?

No, custom backgrounds are limited to .png files, not .gif files.
