Can an eyetoy for ps2 work with the ps3?!?ive just bought a ps3 and wanted to know if its worth forking out for a ps3 eyetoy or should i just buy a ps2 one? i know that the ps3 one has a microphone on it, but do i need to have that one?

No it can't unless you get an adapter.

Yes the PS2 camera does work on the PS3. I have one and all you need to do is plug it in.
However, I believe it deepens on the game.
Ex: It can't be used for face mapping in Rainbow Six Vegas 2
